Circular - Strada Circolare is a show about the relationship between a 'Young lady' and her 'Auntie'.  The play is inspired by real facts  and consists of a mixture of real life history, dreamy visions and inspiring dance lessons. In real life the 'Young lady's mum was adopted by a family who already had a daughter, who was 30 years older than the adopted mum and therefore the 'Auntie' in this play is of considerable age.

In the play the 'Young lady' and the 'Auntie' are travelling in circles, in search of a place where the aunt can stay for the rest of her life. On this journey, they make different encounters with love and its contradicitions, but also with the 'Cool Crowd', who represent the mediocrity of the society. The 'Young lady' is slowly discovering her nature, life and it's up and downs, while the 'Auntie' is on her side offering her lots of advice based on her own experience.

Strada Circolare illustrates a moment of passage in the lives of two women, a girl and an old woman. Their relationship is essential as each of them project their memories, hopes and dreams on to the other. At the end of their journey, they find the end of life and a new beginning.

Praise for Circular:

"Moments of intense physicality evoking the masked figures of commedia dell'arte give way to sequences of frenetic motion and diatribes about the human condition that could be lifted from a Calvino story." - Festmag
