In BLUB the young audience can move freely in the installation and discover on their own. Two performers and a musician accompany them on their journey and tell the story with the help of light, music, choreography. The BLUB dramaturgy can be compared to the dramaturgy of a dive.
Around 500,000 meters of wool crocheted and knitted form a colorful coral reef. Plastic bags, fruit nets and foils form living beings that float brightly through the water. -
The journey starts on the coast. From there we slide into the water - past coral reefs, sponges and anemones as well as the animals living there. A fish looks out of the hole, a worm curls past, a seahorse tightens the reins. We will soon be in the open water. Water above us, water below us, water beside us. Here we encounter jellyfish, schools of fish and maybe also a whale. Our journey takes us even deeper: our aim is it to reach the ocean floor. It gets darker and only a few colours can be seen.
Hundreds of meters below the sea level: it is dark. This is where the exploration of the deep sea begins. In the supposedly blackness we encounter a lively glow of the deep-sea inhabitants. We explore the light and immerse ourselves in choreographies and short stories.
